SECTION 1: PURPOSE
1.1 The City of Albany (hereinafter referred to as the “CITY”) hereby requests Proposals from
qualified firms or individuals to provide food scraps collection and processing services on an as-
needed and non-exclusive basis. Minority Business Enterprises and Women’s Business
Enterprises are encouraged to submit proposals.
1.2 The ensuing contract for these services and provision of materials will commence in or about the
Effective Date, and will terminate on December 31, 2024, with two (2) one-year (1) extension
periods.
SECTION 2: RECEIPT OF PROPOSALS:
2.1 Proposers may submit Proposals by mail, hand delivery, or electronically via
BidNetDirect.com no later than Friday, September 1, 2023 at 2:00 pm. If a Proposer
chooses to submit a Proposal by mail or hand delivery, then four (4) copies of the Proposal
must be received in a sealed envelope marked “Proposal Enclosed – RFP 2023-32 Food
Waste Collection and Processing Services” at the address below. If a Proposal is more than
20 pages in length, please include an electronic version of the Proposal, for example, on a
flash drive or compact disc (CD).
