SECTION 1: PURPOSE
1.1 The City of Albany Department of General Services (DGS) is seeking the professional
services of a training firm that can provide the necessary training, testing and certification
for employees engaged in tree care and line clearance activities.
1.2 The ensuing contract for these services and provision of materials will commence in or
about the Effective Date, and will terminate on December 31, 2024, with four (4) additional
one-year (1) extension periods.
SECTION 2: RECEIPT OF PROPOSALS:
2.1 Proposers may submit Proposals by mail, hand delivery, or electronically via
BidNetDirect.com no later than Friday, August 25, 2023 at 2:00 pm. If a Proposer
chooses to submit a Proposal by mail or hand delivery, then four (4) copies of the Proposal
must be received in a sealed envelope marked “Proposal Enclosed – RFP 2023-31 Tree
Trimming and Line Clearance Training Services” at the address below. If a Proposal is
more than 20 pages in length, please include an electronic version of the Proposal, for
example, on a flash drive or compact disc (CD).
