14.16 - First Street Streetscape Improvements

The work location is the portion of First Street between Front Street and the Hudson River in the City of Newburgh, New York. The general scope of work consists of all site work, construction, and finish work related to the demolition and reconstruction of the streetscape, including new curbs, sidewalks, and plantings, amongst other typical streetscape amenities.  All work is subject to prevailing wage and requires submission of original certified payrolls as a condition for payment. A NYS licensed Surveyor prepared and stamped as-built drawing(s) shall be required prior to final payment. Please note that there are a number of Add Alternatives in the plan set with itemized pricing in the bid documents. This allows the City flexibility to meet construction budget.

The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work shown on the plans and described in these specifications including, but not necessarily limited to the following: Demolition, asphalt surfacing, concrete work, specialty concrete work, bollards, street lighting, planting, and street furnishings. All work shall be in accordance with the plan set and specifications prepared for the New York State Department of State with funds provided under Title 11 of the Environmental Protection Fund.
