Approximately 5 Detroit Diesel Series 50 Diesel Engines. Remanufactured, Similar to Detroit Diesel Serial Number 04R0044153 to be ordered as needed. 1. Remanufactured engine requirements: RELIABILT ¾ ENGINE ASSEMBLY TO INCLUDE Cylinder block complete with all internal components Timing gear train Flywheel housing Front engine mount Rocker cover Fuel injectors Injector harness Oil distribution system Oil pan EGR cooler Complete cylinder head assembly
Unit will be completely disassembled and cleaned. All components and parts will be inspected for serviceability.
All repair parts, reused hard p arts, components and the entire remanufactured engine must meet the latest revision factory original blue print specifications which include the latest upgrades. 2. Replacement parts requirements: All sleeves, pistons, pins and lock rings, piston rings, connecting rod bearings, camshaft bearings, cam thrust washers, main bearings, crankshaft thrust bearings, injector tubes, fuel lines, hoses and fittings, lines and belts, water, oil and fuel filters, gaskets and seals, vibration damper, thermostats, and idler gear bearings will be replaced with new Detroit Diesel Corporation genuine parts. All connecting rods, camshaft, cam followers, crankshaft, blower, turbocharger, governor/ecm, fuel supply pump, fuel injectors, oil pump, and water pump will be replaced with Detroit Diesel Corporation parts. The electronic control module (ECM) will be reprogrammed with new engine serial numbers, and latest specifications. All cylinder heads, rocker arm shafts, accessory drives, cylinder head valves, cylinder head springs, cylinder head seats, and cylinder head valve guides will be replaced as required. Cylinder bores that have erosion or dimensional defects shall be machined, to DDC's OEM specifications. Engine block and liners must meet new standard blueprint specification. Crankshaft rear seal surface area diameter should be standard and accommodate standard seal only. No seal sleeve is to be used in order to assemble the engine.

4. The engine will pass the following Dynamometer test requirements according to Detroit Diesel Corporation specifications rpm, torque, oil pressure, water temperature, and boost pressure. 5. No fluid leaks allowed. 6. The remanufacturing identification code will be stamped on the pad where the serial number is located. 7. Engine will be painted standard DDC color. 8. Warranty period begins on the date installation is completed on the City of Oneonta bus and bus delivered to City of Oneonta. Should defects occur during the warranty period, which are not caused by misuse, abuse, or improper installation, rebuilt units shall be replaced or repaired, as necessary, free of charge of labor and parts. If vendor installs engine, vendor will assume cost for repair or replacement and reinstallation. The warranty shall include the cost of vendor labor, travel time, parts, fluids and towing.
9. Proof of product liability insurance for the specific purchase with a minimum combined limit of: $1,000,000.00 per occurrence, naming the City of Oneonta as additional insured
