Summary of Specifications:
Southside Dam Repairs FEMA PW – 4465 FEMA PW – 1467 Contract #3-G-2008 The contract consists of, but is not limited to the following: Project 1 – Northern End The steel sheet pile training wall on the north side of the existing concrete spillway is in poor condition and will be replaced with a cast-in-place, reinforced concrete training wall. This work will involve installation of a cofferdam and associated turbidity control system, removal of the existing steel sheet pile training wall, construction of the cast-in-place reinforced concrete training wall and the armoring of the existing bank with heavy stone fill for stabilization and scour protection. Project 2 – Southern End The existing south embankment has been eroded and will be rehabilitated. This work will involve placing backfill material and armoring the existing embankment with heavy stone fill for scour protection. The project area consists of two independent sites to be rehabilitated. Site 1 has an approximate area of three hundred (300) square feet. Site 2 has an approximate area of nine hundred (900) square feet and is located approximately twenty (20) feet west of Site 1.
