Summary of Specifications:
ITEM NO. 9 SALT
Bidder to state price per pound each for: 50 pound bags in 5 to 10 ton deliveries and/or truckload (approximately 24 ton) deliveries, delivered F.O.B. Oneonta, NY. Approximately 72 tons of salt per year will be delivered to the Water Treatment Plant. The salt shall be Cargill Hi-Grade Evaporated Salt, or equivalent. The salt must be food grade, and must be approved by the MIOX Corporation for use in their Mixed Oxidant Generator. Additionally, Calcium content cannot be greater than 0.025%, Magnesium content cannot be greater than 0.015%, and Manganese content cannot be greater than 0.0001%. A salt quality analysis will be provided for each shipment. Manufacturers Standard Data Sheets are not acceptable. If bulk deliveries are requested, dedicated containers used exclusively for the shipment of salt must be used. The product must be PALLETIZED and COCOONED. All deliveries must be made with 7 days of placing a purchase order. All deliveries must be between 8:00 AM and 1:00 PM Monday through Friday. A sample of the material may be required to be submitted for analyses prior to acceptance of the Bid.
ITEM NO. 10 CALCIUM HYPOCHLORITE BRIQUETTES Estimated usage between 1,250 lbs. and 6,250 lbs. in 50 lb. pails. Bidder must supply Arch Chemicals, Inc. Constant Chlor Plus Calcium Hypochlorite Briquettes, or approved equal, with the following typical properties: Available Chlorine (wt%) = 66%; Scale Inhibitor (wt%) = 0.5%; Weight = 0.25 oz. (7.0 grams); Dimensions ' 1-1/4 in. X 3/4 in. X 1/2 in.; Appearance = Pillow Shaped Briquettes. Briquettes Must meet the following standards: EPA No. 1258-1179; NSF Standard 60, Drinking Water Additives; AWWA Standard B300. Quote price per 1,250 lbs. delivered, F.O.B., Oneonta, New York.
