SCOPE
1.1 It is the intent of the City of Rochester to establish a contract for SAFETY SHOES AND BOOTS.
1.1.1 This contract will address the needs of the employees so that they may adequately perform their job duties in accordance with the City’s safety policy.
1.1.2 Job functions include but are not limited to carpenters, welders, general laborers, mechanics, meter readers, technicians, refuse workers, general maintenance as well as seasonal help.
1.2 The City of Rochester requires the successful bidder to be able to provide a full product line(s) for both men and women’s styles that are safe, comfortable, and affordable yet meet the high quality standards the City is used to purchasing.
1.2.1 The City reserves the right to limit styles made available to City employees anytime during the contract term.
1.3 The successful bidder(s) must make every effort to provide safety shoes immediately to all employees utilizing this contract on the specified days and times. The bidders are therefore cautioned to carry enough inventory on the shoemobile to ensure same day service.
1.4 The City of Rochester requires that the product line(s) bid be equipped with either the traditional steel toe or non-metallic toe cap shoes.
1.5 The City requires that each bidder maintains at least one (1) retail operation located within a twenty (20) mile radius of City Hall, 30 Church Street, Rochester, NY 14614.
