- SCOPE
1.1 It is the intention of the City of Rochester to enter into contract(s) with competent and responsive contractor(s) to transport students and staff that participate in the City of Rochester’s Recreation Program in the manner described herein.
1.2 Contractors must supply well maintained buses in excellent operating condition with an operator for each route awarded.
1.3 Round trip routes for bus transportation shall include, but not be limited to:
1.3.1 Recreation Center to Recreation Center
1.3.2 Recreation Center to Special Field Trips. Examples of Special Field Trips include, but not limited to, Darien Lake or Seabreeze, or Rochester Science Museum
1.3. Buses should have a capacity to accommodate forty-four (44) persons.
1.4 The maximum number of buses the successful bidders may use on a given day shall be fifteen (15).
1.5 The average time between pick-up and drop-off shall be:
. 1.5.1 Eight (8) hours during the summer months. Typical times of operation are 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
1.5.2 Six (6) hours during the regular academic school year. Typical times of operation are 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM.
1.6 The number of buses, routes and pick-up / drop-off times may vary according to trip/program organized by the City’s Recreation Department. A City of Rochester
Recreation Department Director, or his/her designee, shall manage and direct the successful bidder regarding organized trips. The contact person shall be:

1.7 This contract will also extend to other City departments on an as needed basis.
1.8 The successful bidders must be approved by the Rochester City School District to transport students.
