Sealed bids, subject to the conditions contained herein, will be received by the City Clerk City of Rome 2nd.floor City Hall until 3:00PM September 13, 2007, and then publicly opened and read for:

SOLID WASTE COLLECTION
Specifications may be obtained for a $25 non-refundable fee at: Department of Public Works 3rd. floor City Hall 198 North Washington Street, Rome, New York 13440 ATTN: Frank D. Tallarino Commissioner of Public Works. Specifications will be mailed for an additional non-refundable ten ($10) dollars, payable separately. All checks are to be made payable to the CITY TREASURER
A pre-bid meeting will be held at 10:00A.M. on August 29, 2007, at the Rome City Hall 3rd. FLOOR CONFERENCE ROOM Rome, N.Y. 13440.
A deposit in the amount of $50,000 (Fifty thousand dollars) will be required. This deposit shall consist of a bid bond or a certified check payable to the City of Rome. Failure to submit bid bond or certified check will result in automatic disqualification of bid.
Bids must be submitted upon the proposal form(s) furnished.

The City of Rome reserves the right to revise or amend the specification prior to the date set for the opening of the bids. Such revisions and amendments, if any, will be announced by Addendum to this advertisement. The City’s Board of Estimate and Contract reserves the right to reject any or all bids received.
