Waterous Pacer WB-67 OEM only SPECS: These hydrants shall be dry-barrel type hydrants with 6 inch mechanical joint inlets, marked “open-right� square operating nuts, double 0-ring stem seals and a main valve opening of 5 1/4 inches. Inlet accessories shall include ductile iron gland bodies, high-strength, low-alloy steel “T� bolts and nuts, rubber gaskets and joint lubricant.
Hydrants shall be “Traffic-Type� with replaceable “breakaway� upper barrels, manufactured so that only break-flange and coupling replacement is needed in the event of hydrant fracture. Operating and nozzle cap nuts shall be four-sided national Standard nuts measuring 7/8 of an inch.
Hydrants shall be furnished with two 2 ½ inch hose nozzle connections and one 4 ½ inch hose pumper nozzle connection all with Schenectady Standard threads, (Double Higbee), complete with nozzle caps and chains. Trench or bury depths shall be 5 ½ feet, unless otherwise indicated on the Bidding Sheet. Top sections of the hydrant exteriors shall be painted with at least one coat of primer and one coat of red industrial enamel to match existing system hydrants.
All hydrant components including but not limited to extensions, traffic repair kits, internal repair parts and hydrant caps shall be original equipment manufacture and shall be designed, manufactured and tested in conformance with current editions of ANSI/AWWA C 509-04 standards or approved equal.
