RFB-05-0010 - Work Clothes for the Department of Public Works

Summary of Specifications:
The City of Troy, New York currently provides unionized employees with a specific contractual uniform allotment. This allotment includes short/long sleeve shirts and pants. While the current system has been in place for several years, it has recently been determined that the uniforms provided do not necessarily meet the specific needs of every employees daily work assignments. Because of the varying types of work, a work clothing voucher as opposed to a specific uniform contract has been determined to best benefit City employees. To that end, the City of Troy is soliciting bids from vendors capable of providing various styles and grades of work quality clothing for up to one hundred (100) employees. It is anticipated that the City will contract with one (1) vendor for the services outlined in this bid.
