The City of Yonkers desires to purchase a commercially available, centrally managed Multi-Factor Authentication (“MFA”) system designed to ensure the City’s user logins are indeed the correct users logins. The purpose is to protect the City’s production networks from bad actors, malware, and unauthorized use of information and networked resources.
The MFA system will affect all users authenticating to the City of Yonkers’ IT systems. MFA policies will be tailored to minimize unnecessary risk while supporting the business requirements of the connected departments/organizations. The City seeks a solution that shall ensure each authenticated user is indeed who that user claims to be.
The City’s network is comprised of approximately 150 Microsoft Windows and 10 Unix/Linux servers split between an on-premise VMWare environment and various Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) SaaS applications. The network infrastructure consists of Cisco routers and switches with Cisco firewalls on-premise. The City’s telephony system is an on-premise AVAYA Aura VoIP solution supporting telephony devices (phone, ATAs, voice gateways, etc.) It includes voice mail, ACD queues, and it services the City’s first responders as well as its 911 center. There are approximately 1000 desktops and 250 laptops and we anticipate deploying the MFA solution to these devices.
The winning Vendor shall be responsible for the successful implementation of the described solution and its ongoing support. The support term shall be 5 years.
