The City of Yonkers (“the City”) is seeking a vendor to perform on-call equipment repairs for the Yonkers Fire Dept at multiple locations throughout the City as needed. The awarded contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to properly repair all equipment. The awarded contractor shall have the ability and capability to service a wide variety of equipment including, but not limited to, ranges, ovens, refrigerators, and ice machines. All equipment will vary by manufacturer. Equipment may either be gas or electric. Awarded contractor must respond within 24 hours of receiving a request for service call. All replacement parts must be new and equal to or better than the original part.
The City will call the contractor in for a service call to diagnose the issue with the equipment. No work shall be completed without prior approval from the Fire Dept. The City will be responsible for the payment of service calls, labor, and parts only. All other costs (i.e. shipping and travel) must be incorporated into the requested pricing. All labor must be performed during normal hours and operate as “straight time”. When submitting invoices for parts, the contractor must also submit the invoice incurred by the contractor to show proof of pricing and that the required mark-up has been satisfied.
