Description

Intent:
The City of Yonkers (the “City”) wishes to set up a contract for the option to purchase up to 60,000 pounds of Fresh Step, or Yonkers approved equal, non-clumping cat litter per the following requirements:

Must be packaged in 35 pound bags or larger
Must be NON-CLUMPING
Febreeze Scented
Must be able to supply 60,000 pounds per year
Must be able to deliver inside the building

The City guarantees a minimum order of 1,400 pounds per order.

If bidding an equal, bidder must provide the manufacturer name and manufacturer part number of the item being bid. Additionally, all corresponding technical data and specification sheets must be included in bid submission. Item is subject to review by the City of Yonkers. Final determination of product compliance will be made by the City of Yonkers.

Contract Term:
Contract will be for a period of twelve (12) months after award with the option to extend for one (1) additional twelve (12) month period at the same rates, terms, and conditions.

Delivery:
Delivery shall be to the Yonkers Animal Shelter – 1000 Ridge Hill Boulevard, Yonkers, NY 10701. All deliveries must be made inside the building.

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO BIDDERS REGARDING BID OPENINGS:
Date, time, and place Bids are due:
FRIDAY, JUNE 14, 2024, 2:00 PM (PREVAILING TIME), PURCHASING OFFICE, ONE LARKIN CENTER, 3RD FLOOR, YONKERS, NY 10701
Located in the Yonkers Riverfront Library Building across from the Metro-North train station – if delivering the bid in person, allow sufficient time to find parking and get through security.

The building is open from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM for receiving packages via courier services and in person. If delivering bids in person, individuals must see the Public Safety Officer in the library atrium, who will contact Purchasing to meet the individual at the 3rd floor elevator.
Sealed Bids will be publicly opened and read at the address above in the 3rd Floor Finance Conference Room. Please advise the buyer if you plan on attending the bid opening.
Those interested in listening to the bid opening and the reading of bids can dial Conference Call number 1-701-802-5221 and enter Access Code 1354203 when prompted. The bid opening will start promptly at 2:00 pm. It is recommended that vendors are dialed in by 1:55 pm to hear the bid results. No questions will be answered while the bid opening is in progress.
