RFP-490: TITLE SEARCH SERVICES IN CONNECTION WITH PROPERTIES SUBJECT TO THE CITY OF YONKERS DELINQUENT REAL PROPERTY TAX LIEN IN REM FORECLOSURE PROCEEDINGS
The City of Yonkers (“City”) is seeking proposals for technical, non-exclusive, professional services consisting of identifying the name and address of any and all entities with an ownership interest of public record, including, but not limited to, any and all owners, mortgagees, lien holders, and judgement creditors listed in the City of Yonkers lien records, the County Clerk’s Office, and the Office of the Surrogate of Westchester County, in various properties that are the subject to “In Rem” delinquent real property tax lien foreclosure proceedings brought by the City as set forth in the New York Real Property Tax Law §1125 and Section C19-33 of the Code of the City of Yonkers and as described more fully herein, including, but not limited to, in Schedule A – Scope of Work/Services, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. The City should also be advised as to any lis pendens, mortgage foreclosure or tax liens held by any other taxing authority. The City may have an estimated 200 properties on the in rem list each year, however this number of properties is subject to change. As an additional optional service, the City is also seeking proposals for title insurance.
