The City of Yonkers (“the City”) seeks proposals from qualified firms for the development of a mobile application (“App”) for Apple iOS and Android for the public works refuse and recycling department. Our goal is to provide the residents of Yonkers with a free app for all their refuse and recycling informational needs, and increase participation.
BACKGROUND
The City of Yonkers is the third largest city in the State of New York. We are actively trying to increase the recycling engagement of our residents through information sharing and access. An app that would give alerts for refuse collection days, general recycling information, as well as proper disposal of uncommon items and alerts would be another step the city takes to help in these efforts.
The successful Respondent shall be responsible for the development of the mobile application. All data shall remain the property of the City of Yonkers.
The successful Respondent shall be responsible for all project costs including, but not limited to: the furnishing of all materials, services, labor, insurance, and other costs incurred in the preparation of this response and the contract, signed by an individual authorized to bind the Respondents contractually.
