0029-2024 - Towing Services

The City of Mount Vernon wishes to establish an agreement or agreements for towing, storage and
disposition of impounded vehicles as instructed by the Commissioner of the Department of Public Safety
or his designee and shall include but not limited to the following:
 Immediate removal of illegally parked vehicles from public highways and/or fire zones
 Towing of City-owned vehicles (cars, trucks, tractors, sweepers, fire trucks, etc.)
 Towing storage and disposition of abandoned vehicles (cars, trucks, boats and trailers, scooters,
mobile homes, tractor trailers, e-bikes, etc.).
 Towing and storage of vehicles deemed to be evidence or necessary for police investigation.
 Towing and storage of scofflaw vehicles
 Towing of seized or impounded vehicles
