Summary of Specifications:
SUMMARY The Offeror will be responsible for providing the following: • Demand-response transit service in the Newburgh and/ Middletown Areas for customers within three quarters of a mile of the existing fixed route transit routes in these areas. • Dispatch and two-way communication devices between the buses and a base station. • One spare vehicle for each service area. • Maintenance of the buses’ mechanical operation according to the vehicle manufacturer’s service recommendations. • Maintenance of the buses in a clean, neat, and sanitary condition. • Storage of vehicles when not in use. • Access to the vehicles for inspection at any time for semi-annual New York State Department of Transportation inspection and quarterly review by County appointed personnel as part of the County’s Transit Operator Oversight Program. • Driver and dispatcher training. • Vehicle Insurance (see Section 2.7.1 of this solicitation). • Proof of compliance of ADA Service with all applicable State and Federal regulations for bus service, including, but not limited to, compliance with Federal Substance Abuse Testing Requirements and New York State Article 19-A of the Vehicle and Traffic Law. • Monthly reports of financial and operating data as noted below.
