RFP-DES01-15 - Digital 9-1-1 Next Generation Phone System

Summary of Specifications:
1.1.1 Orange County, New York (“County”) is in the process of upgrading its dispatch facilities and radio system. This project involves most of the equipment in the dispatch facilities including CAD, 9-1-1, Logging Recorders and Consoles. As part of this project, this Request for Proposal (RFP) is for a new 9-1-1 System. 1.1.2 The County seeks to acquire a fully digital PSAP NG9-1-1 telephone system solution for the main Emergency Operations Center and for its full backup center. 1.1.3 The new 9-1-1 system will allow future integration of Next Generation 9-1-1 forms of voice and data communication not presently available via traditional telephone interfaces. 1.1.4 The new 9-1-1 system must feature high reliability, and be field proven, with equipment that is capable of processing 9-1-1 calls delivered using standard CAMA and T1 circuit technology at time of implementation and can be easily migrated to comply with the NG9-1-1 call delivery architecture.
