RFP-DPW03-18 - Engineering Services for Geotechnical Soil Investigations

The selected offeror (the "Consultant") shall provide to the County of Orange (County), on an as needed basis, Engineering Services for Geotechnical Soil Investigation relating to various bridge design projects.
For each project the County will provide to Consultant a scope of work specific to that Project. Within five (5) business days from receipt of such scope of work the Consultant shall provide the County with a detailed cost estimate for the performance of the requested services.
The geotechnical soils investigation services will include obtaining test borings, the performance of any necessary laboratory testing, and the preparation of an evaluation report for submission to the County. Each evaluation report shall include the results of all the tests performed all observations made by Consultant (at the site and from any documentation reviewed), and a recommendation for the most cost effective/optimum foundation type. Each evaluation report shall be signed by a NYS Professional Engineer.
