RFP-HR01-19 - MEDICAL EXAMINATIONS FOR ORANGE CTY POLICE DEPTS AND SHERIFF'S OFFICE CANDIDATES

All individuals interested in entry-level municipal police officer positions with either the Orange County Sheriff's Office or another municipal town, or village police department within Orange County are required to undergo a medical examination to determine whether the Candidate is physically able to perform the essential job functions of an entry-level police officer position.  In accordance with Title 9 of the Codes, Rules and Regulations of the State of New York section 6000.3, Candidates that successfully complete the physical fitness screening elements as set forth in 9 NYCRR 6000.8 as well as other relevant pre-employment offer conditions of an Agency must undergo a medical examination in accordance with 9 NYCRR 6000.4.  The County of Orange seeks proposals from qualified physicians or qualified health practitioners as more particularly described in Section I(A)(1)(a)-(c) of the Specifications portion of this RFP to provide that medical examination and related services.  Copies of the NYCRR sections referenced in the Scope and the Specifications portions of this RFP current as of the date of publication of this RFP are marked as "Attachment A," and are attached to, and made a part of this RFP.
