Summary of Specifications:
The County is seeking a review of the current ME facilities in comparison to professional standards in the field of death investigation as well as facilities in similar and neighboring counties. The overall goal of this Needs Assessment is to determine the conditions and costs required for creating a modern, cohesive facility for the Orange County Office of the Medical Examiner. This Needs Assessment will be the County's first step in deciding whether to construct a new facility or repurpose and convert another building into Medical Examiner facilities. The basic premise is to build consensus among facility owners, users and staff on issues of programming needs, future growth, project scope, budget, and a schedule that will allow project representatives to proceed confidently into planning and design.
