RFP-PLA02-14 - Study & Design, Pond Eddy Parking Access

Summary of Specifications:
Orange County will partner with Sullivan County (The “Grantees”) to complete the Pond Eddy Parking Access Study, which will involve identifying and designing parking opportunities, as well as researching and negotiating any required lease or purchase agreements at the Pond Eddy Bridge site off Route 97, The Upper Delaware Scenic Byway, in the Town of Lumberland, County of Sullivan. Orange County received a grant from the New York State Department of State through the Environmental Protection Fund Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (EPF-LWRP). This project builds on a previous EPF-LWRP grant to Sullivan County to design a site access at the Pond Eddy Bridge. While the access design is funded, the need for parking at the site is a more complex matter given ownership patterns and constrained space. This project will address this important issue as well as advance the regional initiative for the Upper Delaware River Corridor.
