RFP-DSS01-13 - Welfare-to-Work Employment and In-Home Assistance

Summary of Specifications:
The County of Orange (“County”) Department of Social Services (“DSS”) provides a wide array of employment, case management and diversion services to singles and families receiving assistance through the Temporary Assistance to Needy Families Program (TANF) or the Safety Net Assistance Program (SNA). These services include case management, intensive case management, job skills development, job placement, life skills, application assistance and employment. The DSS anticipates awarding a number of contracts to non-profit agencies to provide highly specialized services designed to encourage employment for consumers receiving TANF or SNA assistance, and / or for diversion services as consumers seek assistance from the TANF or SNA Programs.
