RFP-DSS02-16 - Workeforce Development

Summary of Specifications:
The County, by and through its Department of Social Services (“Department” or “DSS”) and in cooperation with its Employment and Training Administration (“ETA”), provides a wide array of employment, case management and diversion services to individuals and families receiving assistance through the federal Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (“TANF”) program or the New York State Safety Net Assistance (“SNA”) program. These services include case management, intensive case management, job skills development, job placement, life skills, application assistance, and employment. 

The TANF program provides assistance to needed families, which include a minor child living with one or both parents or a caretaker relative. The SNA program provides assistance to individuals and families who do not qualify for the TANF program.
