Capital Project 3414 - Construction of New Highway Department Facility

Sealed bids for the above referenced bid number and title will be received until 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 12, 2019 by the Legislature of Rockland County at its Chambers in the Allison-Parris County Office Building, 11 New Hempstead Road, New City, New York, 10956, at which time they will be publicly opened and read.

Description of Work: The work is inclusive but is not limited to: constructing a New Highway Facility on a 24-acre site consisting of a Main Office building, Vehicle Repair building, Operations building, Vehicle Storage building, Salt Storage building, Equipment Storage building, Fuel Dispensing area, and Vehicle Wash Building. Work will include Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC systems in all buildings, new emergency generator, new electric, water and gas services for the Facility, new parking lots, drainage and service road construction is also included.
Bids are being solicited with a Project Labor Agreement in accordance with the Wicks Law for:

The total contract time from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed until total closeout of the project shall be 730 calendar days. The contract time to perform the construction work shall be 584 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed to Substantial Completion.
The bid security or deposit required to accompany this bid is Ten (10%) Percent of the total bid price in the form of a Certified Check or Bid Bond. Payee to be: Commissioner of Finance County of Rockland.
Bid Bonds/Bid Checks will be returned after award of the contract to the successful bidder or the rejection of all bids.
