RFP-UC22-062 - FAMILY & YOUTH EMPOWERMENT PARTNER

Seeking proposals for the services of a paraprofessional Empowerment Partner (Firm) to work with the Department of Social Services (DSS) Division of Coordinated Children’s’ Services Placement Prevention team to provide support, family guidance and advocacy. The Empowerment Partner (EP) will connect with families using strategic self-disclosure to provide youth and families with an ally who can relate to their life circumstances. The EP should have experience as a parent or primary caregiver who is raising or has raised a child receiving mental health, behavioral, or substance abuse needs and has received services on behalf of their child/youth. The EP will partner with and empower caregivers to comfortably engage with the service system and help them take an active role in their child’s treatment. They will also collaborate with the treatment team and assist CCS youth with activities towards meeting life goals.
