Summary of Specifications:
The purpose of this bid is to establish a price for the rental of a prefabricated “Modular Panel” temporary bridge for the Ulster County Department of Public Works. The work shall consist of manufacturing, fabricating and delivering to the site the units necessary to construct a temporary vehicular bridge, and appurtenances as described in these specifications including but not limited to modular bridge panels, modular deck panels, nuts, bolts, washers, bearing plates, bridge railing, etc. Also included in this work is supplying assembly instructions, installation instructions, any required launching and de-launching hardware, and an on-site representative during both the erection and removal processes.
The temporary bridge shall be delivered to the project site located on Route 299, Town of New Paltz, NY. Ulster County will provide the crane and manpower to unload the materials at the job site. It is anticipated that the temporary bridge will be needed for six (6) months but delays in the completion of the permanent bridge may affect the rental period.
