RFP-DCC-10-2024 - Engineering Services for the Design of Hudson Hall Mechanical Upgrades

Dutchess Community College is seeking the services of a qualified engineer for the design of the Hudson Hall mechanical upgrades. Hudson Hall serves as the central hub for mechanical systems that support not only Hudson Hall but also serve Dutchess, Drumlin and Washington Halls. The building mechanicals, specifically the boilers and burners are original to the building which was constructed in 1979. The existing boilers utilize natural gas as the primary fuel source with #2 oil as an alternate fuel source. The project shall include the replacement of the boilers and burners, water heaters, and the piping connections to the adjacent facilities.
The engineer shall design the mechanical upgrades including but not limited to providing new dual fuel boilers and new hot water heaters with all controls and required ancillary systems as well as the replacement of the existing piping between Hudson Hall and the adjacent buildings beings served.
