Hudson Valley Tourism Regional Visitor Guide 2025
Hudson Valley Tourism (HVT), a not-for-profit corporation comprised of 10 New York State Counties in the Hudson Valley Region is soliciting proposals for the publication of its 2025 regional travel/visitor guide. This publication is the primary fulfillment piece for all tourist and travel inquiries generated by the Hudson Valley Tourism regional marketing program. They are mailed by request, distributed at many regional tourism information centers and at events, trade shows and other relevant venues.
HVT intends to work with a qualified publisher to develop this important collateral piece. HVT will develop and be responsible for content. The publisher will be responsible for the design and production. Additionally, the publisher will successfully market advertising space that will support the cost of the project. The publisher and HVT will work together to develop the design of the piece. The publisher will be responsible for the printing and delivery of the Guide including an interior regional map (does not need to be a separate pull out piece).
Publisher will:
 

1. Have the exclusive right to publish the 2025 Regional Visitor Guide.
2. Maintain an editorial/advertising ratio with options for 50/50 or 70/30
3. Provide HVT with timely sales reports.
4. HVT will review all advertisers for appropriateness. Advertising is limited to tourism- related businesses located in the 10 county Hudson Valley region.
5. Advertising rates will be established with the approval of HVT.
6. Pay a royalty from advertising sales to HVT from sales collected based on a mutually agreed upon schedule and /or base amount.
7. The trim size of the Guide will be 8 1/8" x 10 7/8". Standards including paper weight will be mutually agreed upon by HVT and publisher. Standard paper weight of 50 lb. matte text and 100 lb. matte cover stock with UV coating on the front and back covers plus saddle stitch binding are preferred.
8. The guide shall have a minimum page count of 46 pages.
9. Be responsible for printing 75,000 copies of the Guide.
10. Publisher is responsible for the graphic layout of the Guide subject to HVT approval.
