Summary of Specifications:
The project shall include, but is not limited to the following activities: Consultant to meet with representatives of the Management team to gain a clear understanding of the compensation philosophy of the organization and any unique issues and opportunities which exist within Genesee County. Consultant to meet with Department Heads and mid-management staff to explain study and processes to be used. Consultant to conduct interviews and/or job audits as appropriate. Interviews and/or job audits may be conducted individually or in groups based upon classification. Consultant to compare survey information, interview and any present all audit findings and results to existing job descriptions to the Human Resources Director. Consultant shall provide recommended salary ranges for each position. Consultant shall provide a written report of recommendations of salary and other recommendations, including discussion of methods, techniques and data used to develop Proposed Classification and Compensation Plan. Consultant shall be available to attend meetings through the process, with Human Resources and other Management employees, and make presentations to Legislative Committee Meeting as requested. The Consultant should budget for a minimum of two Legislature Meetings. Consultant shall provide a timeline indicating tasks required and the start/completion dates for each. It is expected the work will commence as soon as possible after March 1, 2014 and be completed on or before June 30, 2014. Extension of due date only upon mutual agreement.
