Project Scope
The project will be located at Finger Lakes Community College, 3325 Marvin Sands Drive
Canandaigua NY in Ontario County. This project will be awarded under two prime contracts,
Electrical Contract, and a Mechanical Contract.
Ontario County is accepting sealed bids for the removal and installation of (4) four Liquid Filled
Pad Mounted Transformers and (2) two Low Voltage Power Distribution Switchboards. The
replacement of the primary and secondary conductors. The installation of (7) Electrical Energy
Meters. The transformers and switchboards were pre-purchased and will be furnished by Ontario
County. The Electrical Contractor shall be responsible for receiving, storing, shipping, rigging,
setting the furnished equipment and financially responsible for the equipment after receipt. The
electrical shutdown will take place between 12/26/22 to 1/8/23. There are several qualifications
the electrical contractor must have indicated in the electrical specification 260010, including
being a TEGG Service Contractor to conform to FLCC’s preventative maintenance program.
The electrical contractors work includes the replacement of a transformer pad.
The mechanical work includes relocation of the main gas piping (all exposed) and exhaust
ductwork in the transformer pit adjacent to the boiler room. This work is scheduled for the
summer of 2022 ( June or July), with the college managing this work.
