Project Scope
It is anticipated that the work under this Contract will be completed in two (2) construction seasons.
In 2020, Drainage Improvements work will consist of the rehabilitation or replacement of twenty (20) cross culverts, storm sewer improvements, road underdrain system, cleaning, grading, & shaping existing roadside section, including driveway culverts. In addition, temporary erosion & sediment control measures and other incidental construction necessary for seasonal shut-down. The project culvert work will also include on-site vehicular detours and a sixteen (16) week off-site detour associated with the replacement of Culverts #13, #14, #17, & #19.
In 2021, Road Rehabilitation & Intersection Reconstruction work will consist of the reconstruction Boughton Road intersection, new granite curbing, new concrete gutters, limited pavement repairs, heater scarification pavement recycling, hot-mix asphalt overlay, guide railing replacements, and other incidental construction necessary for completion of the project. The reconstruction of Boughton Road intersection will also include a two (2) week off-site detour.
The Contractor’s attention is called to the close proximity of utilities at the project site.
The scope of this work includes, but is not limited to the following:
Provide, maintain, and remove temporary erosion control measures
Clearing and grubbing highway right-of-way and work area
Maintain and protect traffic for the duration of the project in conformance with NYSDOT and MUTCD requirements
Preserving, maintaining and relocating existing signs
Locating, preserving and protecting existing utilities at all times
Maintain stormwater flows
Remove existing culverts
Install new culverts and backfill
Stream bank stabilization
Drainage improvements
Construction of embankment and cut slopes
Construction of new road and shoulders
Cold mill pavement & rebates between existing and proposed pavements
Construction hot mix asphalt concrete pavements and shoulders to the line and grades shown on the Contract Documents
Laying out and applying permanent pavement markings
Placing shoulder backup material to the proper lines and grades
Installation of guide railing systems
Restoration of all driveways and property disturbed by construction
Turf establishment
Incidental work necessary to completely and satisfactorily construct the project
The Work includes all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, disposal, and performing all work in
accordance with these Contract Documents, technical specifications and plans, as ordered by Engineer.
