Scope: The County of Ontario is seeking sealed bids for the purchase of law enforcement car parts and accessories. At this time the County is unsure of the types of equipment that will be necessary or the types of vehicles they will be purchasing that will be in need of the equipment.
As a result, the County has determined it to be in its best interest to bid based on a percentage off of MSRP for all the manufacturers the County feels will be needed for the next twenty-four months. The County also purchases many accessories for these vehicles such as floor mats, window guards, wiper blades, etc. For these items we are asking vendors to bid a % discount off of their current catalog price, and to include a copy of the catalog, or a website with catalog pricing. If a paper copy is provided, the County will use the copy we have for pricing. If a new catalog is released, the vendor shall provide the County with a copy prior to the prices changing.
Once awarded the successful vendor for each specific manufacturer will be contacted by the County each time it feels it needs equipment offered by that manufacturer.
Once awarded the successful vendors agree to hold their percentages off of MSRP for the duration of the contract. The vendor must supply the County with a website or a paper catalog showing MSRP.
