Project Scope

Work under this contract consists of removing and replacing the wet well entryway landing,
access hatch and stairway leading down to the wet wells of Pump Stations 1E and 2E. The
Scope of Work described below is general only and shall not be construed as a complete listing
of every item of work required.

A lump sum bid price schedule is requested for the Work under this contract. It is the Owner’s
intent to award the contract to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder.

The Contractor’s attention is called to the importance of keeping the pump stations running
during construction.
The work at EACH pump station includes, but is not limited to, the following:
 Remove and dispose of existing wet well entryway landing, including floor decking, access
hatch and all appurtenant support steel and attachments to walls.
 Remove and dispose of existing wet well access stairway, including handrail, support steel
and all appurtenant support steel and attachments to walls and the wet well access floor.
 Provide accommodation(s) for wet well access by Ontario County maintenance personnel at
all times during the duration of the construction.
 Provide temporary and safe means of access to the wet well during all non-working hours.
 Construct and install new wet well entryway landing, including floor grating, equipment
access hatch and all appurtenant support steel and attachments to walls
 Construct and install new wet well access stairway, including handrail, guard rails, toe
kicks, and all appurtenant support steel.
 Incidental work necessary to completely and satisfactorily construct the project.

Work shall be completed 140 calendar days following the date of Notice to Proceed.
