Summary of Specifications:
1. Provide physical exams for all Special Education programs at Orange-Ulster BOCES. 2. Participate in the Committee on Special Education. 3. Conduct grade specific physical examinations. 4. Conduct new entrant physical examinations. 5. Conduct sports physical examinations. 6. Complete pertinent sections of working papers for student employment. 7. Review, advise, and approve non-patient standing orders for over-the-counter medication policy used in school. 8. Provide consultation regarding student medical issues as needed for Orange-Ulster BOCES school health. 9. Sign related services prescription after physical evaluation in extenuating circumstances for students with healthcare access issues. 10. Attend quarterly meetings with NP’s to review practice issues, consultation, and resource sharing. 11. Attend to any students sent to the nurse while the physician is in the school building.
