Description

Putnam County is planning two (2) Countywide Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Collection Events. The purpose of these events is to provide Putnam County residents, municipal governments, and various Departments of Putnam County that are conditionally exempt small quantity generators with an economical, convenient and environmentally sound disposal option for their unwanted or outdated pesticides, fertilizers, solvents, oil based paints, etc. No E-Waste will be accepted. Putnam County will contract with a fully approved and licensed hazardous waste management contractor to receive, package, manifest, load, transport, and properly dispose of pesticides, fertilizers, solvents, oil based paints, etcetera.
