Bidders must provide verification that their firm has been in the retail sales and service of heavy equipment tires/capping for at least five-years. The Contractors Service Facility shall be fully equipped to provide heavy equipment/vehicle tire service. The location where tires and tire services shall be provided, repaired, installed and/or balanced on Highway Department Vehicles/Equipment shall be within thirty (30) miles of the Main Highway Garage at 124 Bloomingrove Drive, Town of North Greenbush, Rensselaer County. Acceptance of the contractor’s bid may be subject to inspection and approval of the contractor’s service facility by the County Engineer or his designee.Rensselaer County reserves the right to require references in order to establish the Bidders ability to provide the commodities and services specified herein.
The County reserves the right to reject any bid if reference checks or investigation of such bidder, fails to satisfy the County that such bidder is properly qualified to carry out the obligations of the contract and to complete the work contemplated herein. Conditional bids will not be accepted.
Open-end awards will be made to Vendors meeting Rensselaer County specifications. Selection shall be based upon the lowest costs to the County. Rensselaer County reserves the right to reject any and all bids received and re-bid, if necessary, when it appears to be in the County’s best interest.
Partial bids will be accepted. Bidders may submit pricing for all items listed on the Official Bid Forms or for individual items/products that they are able to provide.
