Specifications include, but are not limited to: Snow shall be removed by plowing, shoveling, or blowing as necessary. It is the Contractor’s responsibility to clear snow from entire driveways, parking areas, driveway exits, fire exits, egress walkways, egress paths, steps, generator access, dumpsters, mailboxes and approaches to mailboxes, fire hydrants, and fuel delivery paths. An area no less than 36 inches wide must be cleared for all walkways and paths to accommodate wheelchairs. Shoveling/snow blowing is to be included in the per-plow cost and must be completed every time a plow is required. All sites must be cleared of accumulated or drifting snow of 3 inches or more by 6:00am, 2:30pm, and 10:30pm seven days per week. Walkways or paths may be across non-paved areas to allow for emergency egress from the site. It is the Contractor’s responsibility to know where these paths are required and to clear these paths along with all other areas of snow removal. All snow that is shoveled to clear any deck path must be removed from the deck. It is the responsibility of OPWDD staff to shovel the paths to smoking areas.
