Procurement of CLASS 8, HEAVY DUTY 6×4 CONVENTIONAL CAB TRUCK. CAB: A fully enclosed and insulated steel cab-over type cab shall be provided. All components, e.g. windows, doors, windshields, floorboard access plates, etc., must be properly and closely fitted. The type and location of all specialized equipment will be discussed at the Plans Meeting and approved at the Pilot Inspection. Sound deadening material shall be utilized under the cab. The driver’s floor and pedal area shall be free of any and all objects that may hamper or interfere with the safe operation of the vehicle. All cab weather stripping shall be glued on. 18.1 JOINTS: All metal joints shall be lapped or protected by metal moldings. 18.2 CAB FLOOR: The cab floor shall be lined with heavy duty non-skid vinyl type flooring.
