Specifications include, but are not limited to: New York City Emergency Management (NYCEM) is seeking an appropriately qualified vendor to host and provide the Citywide Asset and Logistics Management System (CALMS), a web-based system in use since 2004, designed to capture information on resources commonly utilized in disaster response and recovery. The information includes fleet, staffing, demographic, and other resources needed such as mapping capabilities, demographics, and linkage to the City’s real-time emergency equipment tracking system, all pertinent in responding to and recovering from disasters/emergencies. The selected vendor will also provide consultant to the NYCEM Supply Chain Logistics Unit to including hosting, maintenance, system/website design, and enhancements to CALMS. NYCEM currently has CALMS in place; the incumbent vendor would be responsible for migrating information from the previous CALMS, if applicable. NYCEM is a coordinating agency for the City of New York. The agency plans and prepares for emergencies, educates the public about preparedness, coordinates emergency response and recovery, and collects and disseminates emergency information. CALMS is a tool that will support NYCEM operations. Etc.
