Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Housing Authority of the County of Stanislaus is requesting proposals from qualified inspection firms to complete a minimum of 500, up to 1,200 Annual Housing Quality Standards (HQS) inspections of Section 8 rental units located in Stanislaus County, California. The Housing Authority is a public agency that administers Section 8 housing programs throughout Stanislaus County, California. The Housing Authority seeks to engage the services of a qualified inspection firm to conduct inspections of Section 8 dwelling units to ensure they meet Housing Quality Standards as defined by the Department of Housing and Urban Development. The inspections will be scheduled by the Housing Authority and the data will be recorded. The inspection data will be submitted to the Housing Authority at the completion of each day’s inspections. Qualified inspection firms must be able to complete between 500 and 1,200 HQS inspections of the course of twelve months beginning in August 2009. The actual number of inspections completed will depend upon the needs of the Housing Authority, but will be no less than nine (9) inspections per day. The Request for Proposals (RFP) described the terms and conditions under which the Housing Authority will select an inspection firm. Interested parties are requested to submit proposals by Friday, June 26, 2009 by 3:00 P.M. including a description of their previous experience and qualifications. Upon review of the proposals submitted, the Housing Authority intends to enter into negotiations with the selected firm to formalize an agreement. The Housing Authority expects to be able to execute an agreement with the selected inspection firm by August 2009.
