Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1) DOHMH will give, at least, a 48 hour notice when requesting services from the vendor. A “rush” request will be requests sent within 24 hours of the service event. DOHMH will pay a minimum cancelation free if we cancel service within 24 hours of the event.; 2) Interpretation services including ASL, CDI and sign language in other languages by professionally accredited interpreters who have extensive experience interpreting for New York City communities in medical, public health and general settings. Interpretation events will range from one-on-one settings to large public events. On average, we expect five large events and ten one-on-one events per month. DOHMH is a large agency that provides hundreds of health services to New Yorkers in all five boroughs. As such, the contractor must have a minimum of 50 interpreters on their roster to be able to fulfill our agency requests.; 3) American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation services offered on-site/in-person or via video-remote interpretation (VRI). ASL interrpeters must be available to travel to all five (5) boroughs in New York City, as needed.; 4) Communication Access Real time translation (CART) services for English-speaking and limited-English-Proficient speaking New Yorkers.; 5) Realtime captioning that provides instantaneous translation of the spoken language displayed as text and merged with a video signal for broadcast, livestream, large meeting sites and convention settings.; 6) Transcription services of audio and video source files in English and all languages prescribed by Local Law 30 (Spanish, Chinese, Russian, Bengali, Haitian Creole, Korean, Arabic, Urdu, French and Polish) and any additional languages as required by the NYC Health Department. Files to include live online or in-person events, administrative hearings and any other type of meeting or recorded events, hearings and meetings conducted by the NYC Health Department.; 7) Comply with all relevant HIPAA laws for all services provided for healthcare and medical issues and settings, and will be subject to any additional confidentiality requirements that are set forth by the NYC Health Department. Provide transcription services in languages as those prescribed by Local Law 30 (Spanish, Chinese, Russian, Bengali, Haitian Creole, Korean, Arabic, Urdu, French, and Polish) and any additional languages as required by the NYC Health Department.; 8) Furnish all the necessary labor, materials and equipment needed to complete the transcription services of the audio and video files.
