The City of Auburn is seeking a qualified and experienced individual or group to facilitate a meaningful dialogue between the Auburn Police Department and interested members of the community. The focus areas and policy proposals contained in the Police Reform and Reinvention Collaborative Plan of 2021 should serve as the basis and lay the groundwork for community dialogue, collaboration, and education. The selected proposal will address the following tasks: • Assist city leadership to identify stakeholders for the working group • Guide the development of the mutual goals of the project, including improved communication, enhanced community engagement, and policy updates. • Maintain order and focus of discussions • Establish realistic timelines and schedules • Facilitate open public meetings as necessary to share progress and gather feedback • Provide periodic updates to elected officials • Provide unbiased leadership to advance actions that support the project goals • Develop a framework for continued success of the project
