1. General Facility Maintenance/Handyman Services A. Description: The vendor will provide general maintenance and handyman services to resolve routine facility issues such as minor repairs, preventive adjustments/maintenance, and general upkeep. These include light plumbing, painting, replacing light bulbs, and other tasks requested by RGRTA. B. As detailed on the price form, General Facility Maintenance/Handyman Services, will be charged based on a visit fee (which includes the first hour of service on-site) provided on the Price Form. If the services requested take longer then an hour then each additional hour will be billed at the hourly labor rate provided on the Vendor’s Price Form. C. Since RGRTA is a New York State Public Authority, Vendors will be required to pay prevailing wages to their staff providing this service. 2. Snow Plowing & Salting A. Description: The vendor will provide snow plowing and salting services for parking lots, sidewalks, and entryways when snowfall exceeds 2 inches. B. Frequency: Snow plowing/salting shall be provided whenever accumulation exceeds 2 inches and includes the following: 1. Plowing and salting all parking lots paved areas to ensure clear access for vehicles and pushing snow to designated areas. 2. Clear all walkways, entrances, and stairways of snow/ice and apply salt or de-icing agents to these areas as needed. 3. Providing round-the-clock service for emergency snow removal during severe weather conditions. 3. Mowing & Trimming A. Description: The vendor will provide mowing and trimming services for lawns and green spaces during non-winter months. B. Frequency: Services to be performed on a regular basis as per the agreed schedule. C. Mowing all lawn areas to a height of 2.5 – 3 inches during the growing season. D. Ensuring even and uniform cutting throughout the property. E. Trimming grass around buildings, walkways, driveways, and other obstacles using string trimmers. F. Edging along walkways, driveways, and flower beds to maintain clean lines. G. Identifying and removing weeds from lawn areas, including applying weed control treatments as needed to prevent regrowth. H. Collecting and disposing of all leaves, and other debris from mowing and trimming activities. In addition, using a blower to remove any grass clippings from hard surfaces after mowing. I. Vendor shall use well-maintained equipment for all lawn care activities and supplying/applying any necessary materials, including fertilizers and weed control products.
