Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Ithaca is seeking a consultant to perform a Local Flood Hazard Analysis. The objectives of the study are to identify and evaluate flood risks within the City, and potential mitigation measures that can be taken within the City limits and surrounding watersheds. The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) is currently performing an “existing condition” hydraulic analysis for Fall Creek, Cascadilla Creek, Six Mile Creek, and the Cayuga Inlet in their respective flat reaches within the City limits. The USGS study will produce HEC-RAS models and flood maps for the 2-, 10-, 50-, 100-, and 500-year streamflow events, under three different lake level conditions in Cayuga Lake.
