specialized secure detention facility located at 400 Rush Scottsville Road in Rush, NY (Rush) and a secure detention facility located at; 750 E. Henrietta Rd in Brighton, NY (the Annex). Rush has limited kitchen and storage facilities, which are utilized on behalf of the Residents residing in both buildings. Rush is certified to house a combined maximum of 39 Court-remanded, police-arrested, or sentenced youth, ranging in age from 10-21. The Annex can house up to 8 Residents when in use. The Center is staffed by County employees and various contract staff. The average number of estimated meals to be provided to youth and staff per day is 100. Food for the Annex is prepared at Rush and the Respondent transports the meals to the Annex. Renovations at Rush, the Phase 2 project, is expected to be completed in August of 2025. This is a major renovation that brings the total of beds to 58 at Rush; the Annex will continue to house up to 8 Residents. The new facility will include a new kitchen, dry storage and a walk in freezer.
