Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of New York ("City"), acting through the Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS), is releasing a Request for Information (RFI) to solicit data from vendors regarding the availability and pricing of organic and/or New York State (NYS) produce for the DOC and ACS. The information from this RFI will be used to identify opportunities for incorporating organic or NYS options at these agencies, in order to align DOC and ACS food spending with the values of environmental sustainability and local economies. Program objectives: • Reduce the GHG emissions (total CO2e) and negative environmental impact of food purchases at DOC and ACS. • Increase the procurement of foods grown, processed, manufactured, and/or distributed in New York State. • Identify opportunities for incorporating organic and/or NYS products into the menu at DOC and ACS.
