UPSTATE is requesting proposals from qualified and experienced Bidders to provide hospitality television services for patient rooms and common locations at University Hospital (including Golisano Children’s Hospital) and Community Hospital. The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to review, select and implement a solution that will provide Upstate with the capability to deliver traditional cable TV programming, 3rd party educational TV channels, live video feeds from internal sites (chapels, performance center) and customized hospital information content to nearly 850 televisions, the majority of which are mounted in patient rooms. In patient rooms, the solution will integrate with the existing pillow speaker/control module, the nurse call system, and room lighting controls, such that no additional remote or control devices are required. In common areas such as waiting rooms, lounges, and breakrooms, the solution will use existing TV remote controls for basic channel navigation.
