The Contractor shall furnish all the necessary labor, parts, materials, and equipment to provide Backhoes (as defined in D-2.1(B)(1)) together with Operating Engineers (as defined in D-2.1(B)(2)), and one Operating Engineer together with one Backhoe, (a “Backhoe Team”) at various Sites as directed by DEP to perform Work including but not limited to: 1. Excavating and removing pavement, silt, soil, lumber, trash and miscellaneous debris during the repair, replacement and removal of water mains, sewers, and hydrants, and similar work; 2. Excavating and removing miscellaneous debris from drainage ditches and water courses; 3. Picking up and lowering water main appurtenances; 4. Backfilling, grading, and leveling areas; 5. Loading and unloading equipment and materials, including but not limited to miscellaneous debris collected and placed at DEP yards and excavated materials, into and out of trucks and/or containers; and 6. Providing general housekeeping services at DEP yards, including but not limited to keeping storage areas orderly and snow removal.
